Budget Piggy Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026

In short: Budget Piggy is a tool to help you plan and track your money. It isn't financial advice, you're responsible for the numbers you enter, and you can stop using it and delete your account at any time.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Live Again (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us"), a company based in Pretoria, South Africa, for your use of the Budget Piggy app ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store or TestFlight, Apple's standard terms for apps also apply. If they conflict with these terms, these terms apply, except where Apple's terms say otherwise.

2. Who can use Budget Piggy

You must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use the app. You must give accurate information when you create your account.

3. Your account

4. Not financial advice

Budget Piggy helps you organise and track the numbers you enter. Figures such as "Left to spend" and "Left at month end" are calculated only from the information you provide. The app does not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it does not connect to your bank. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for checking that the information you enter is correct. For advice about your situation, speak to a qualified financial adviser.

5. Using the app fairly

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Beta versions

If you use a test version through TestFlight, it may contain bugs, change often, or lose data. Please keep your own records of anything important while testing, and send us feedback so we can improve the app. We may use your feedback freely to improve our products.

7. Free version, ads and paid features

Budget Piggy is free to use and shows ads in the free version. We may offer optional paid features, such as a subscription that removes ads and adds features. If we do:

8. Your content

The information you add, such as your budgets, transactions and profile, belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the app to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Our app

The app, including its design, name, logo and code, belongs to Live Again (Pty) Ltd. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your own, non-commercial use while you follow these terms.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Budget Piggy running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may update, change or stop parts of the app. If we plan to shut down the app entirely, we will try to give you reasonable notice.

11. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, we are not responsible for losses arising from your financial decisions, from inaccurate information entered into the app, or from interruptions to the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under South African law that cannot be limited, or our liability for gross negligence or deliberate misconduct.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and will let you know where reasonable.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
